The sharp detail and vivid colors from each and every GALAX LCD panel is made up of millions of tiny pixels; the very building blocks of any image you see on your display, with the ability to project billions of color variations. However, if one pixel no longer functions properly, it will become a bright/dark pixel – displaying a color that is not intended; usually contradicting with the colors around it.
Monitor Pixel Defect Warranty Policy:
Bright Pixel > 3 Pixels, Bright Pixels gap < L >=15mm
Dark Pixel > 5 Pixels
GALAX conforms to the acceptance level of up to either 3 bright pixels or 5 dark pixels. If your panel is within our acceptance level stated, you will not be eligible to claim through our warranty coverage.

Bright / Dark Pixel Definition & Testing Conditions:
To identify non-performing pixels, the monitor shall be viewed under normal operating conditions, preferably in its native resolution, and from a normal viewing distance of at least 50 cm (16 in.).
Bright Pixel: To accurately test for bright pixels, monitor must display a singular color of black imagery covering the whole resolution of the monitor.
- If a pixel appears bright/colored within this black imagery, the pixel is defined as a “bright pixel”.
Dark Pixel: To accurately test for dark pixels, monitor must display a singular color of white/red/green/blue covering the whole resolution of the monitor.
- If a pixel appears black under these conditions, the pixel is defined as a “dark pixel” or a missing subpixel.
GALAX will entertain any warranty request concerning non-performing pixels. However, it should be noted that non-performing pixels are innate within the current LCD panel manufacturing process. As such, GALAX cannot guarantee that the return unit to our customers will be 100% free of pixel defects or have fewer numbers of defects than the accepted standard of non-performing pixels as outlined before.

The customer bears the cost of repair/freight for the following:
Damaged parts or components not sold or manufactured by GALAX.
Parts repaired or replaced by parties other than GALAX Authorized Service Centers.
There is damage caused by an external electrical fault, accident, natural disaster, intentional or accidental misuse, abuse, neglect or improper maintenance, or use under abnormal conditions.
There is damaged caused by improper installation or improper connection to the display device.
Units purchased outside the service coverage region.

FAQ
To enable the maximum refresh rate of your monitor, first you need to use Display Cable for connection.
If you are already using a Display Port for connection, please follow the steps below to enable your desired refresh rate on Windows:
1) Right-click your desktop -> choose “Display Settings”.
2) Scroll down and select “Display adapter properties”.
3) Check the “Refresh rate” settings, and set to max.
Please follow instructions below to enable AMBR mode:
1) Right-click your desktop -> choose “Display Settings” -> Scroll down and select “Display adapter properties” -> Refresh Rate must be set to either 144Hz (for HDMI) and 165Hz (for DP).
2) Press once on the joystick to open OSD menu.
3) Flick the joystick to the right to open up setting menu.
4) Select “Picture” -> “G-SYNC” -> “Off”.
5) Select “Color” -> “HDR” -> “Auto/Off”.
6) Go back to the OSD menu -> “Pictures” -> “AMBR” -> “On”.
To enable G-SYNC compatible mode, please follow instructions as below:
1) Make sure your Nvidia graphics card is supporting G-Sync. (Either GTX or RTX graphics card)
2) Use a DisplayPort cable for connecting the graphics card with the monitor.
3) Update with the latest graphics card driver and restart.
4) Press the dedicated G-Sync button at the back of your monitor
5) Use the joystick to navigate -> select “On” and tap to apply.
Configuring the G-SYNC Compatibility feature:
1. Install the latest NVIDIA GPU driver.
2. Press the button on your monitor and enable G-Sync.
3. Right-click on the desktop on your computer, and select the NVIDIA Control Panel.
4. In the Display menu, select Set up G-Sync.
5. Select your monitor and click the check box label Enable G-Sync, G-Sync Compatible and choose your option for windowed or full screen mode.
6. Click Apply.

1. Right-click your desktop -> choose “Display Settings” -> Under “ Windows HD Color” section, confirm “Play HDR games and apps” setting is available and turn it on
2. You may click “Windows HD Color Setting” for more advanced setting

1. Open OSD menu -> “Picture” -> “G-SYNC” -> Select “Off”.
2. “Color” -> “HDR” -> Select “Auto” or “Off”.
3. “Settings” -> “Flicker Free” -> Select “On”.
The “black borders” on the edge of the monitor panels are actually “bezels” of the monitor which can be found on any typical monitor. It does not output any light but acts as a protection to the screen against impact. It also does not affect the resolution offered by the monitor.
Please follow below steps:
1) Update your graphics driver to the latest version.
1) Connectivity: Is the cable being connected to the monitor on one end, the other connected to the graphics card of the PC? Please disconnect both ends of the cables and plug them in again.
2) Check input source: Did you choose the correct input source? For choosing a different input source, push the joystick to the top to access the input source menu.
3) Check the power: Is the power supply light up in green? Is it plugged in securely to the monitor? Is the monitor being turned on by pressing the joystick?
4) Test the cable: Use the same cable on a spare monitor or use a different cable with the monitor.

Please check if you have selected the correct playback device on Windows:
1) Click the "volume icon” on the Windows taskbar.
2) Click the device on top of the volume bar.

To adjust the brightness of the monitor, first you will have to disable “HDR” function on the monitor and at “Windows HD Color settings”
For Windows 10:
- Right-click your desktop -> choose “Display Settings” -> Under “Windows HD Color” section, turn off “Play HDR games and apps”.
For Windows 11:
- Right-click your desktop -> choose “Display Settings” -> scroll down and turn off “Use HDR”.
Then you may enter the monitor OSD menu and check again.
For any IPS panel monitor, it is typical for users to see a kind of glow on the monitor while displaying a dark image on the screen. It may not be a backlight bleeding effect but an IPS glow which cannot be completely prevented due to limitations of IPS screen technology.
IPS glow is a common characteristic of IPS display panels. Although it is not possible to completely eliminate the issue, GALAX will dedicate to minimise the effects of it by withholding a high standard of inspection and production.
To enjoy the best quality of images, GALAX advises users in viewing the monitor at a proper distance and angle, as well as adjusting the brightness and contrast to a level which comforts the eyes of the users.
Under normal handling and installation, damage such as detached frame should not be able to occur. But if there is any misuse of the product, which includes but not only applying excessive pressure or force onto the display panel or frame, the frame will then be damaged due to human factors.
We do not advise users in pressing or tapping the panel as that will further damage the product, causing issues such as "clouding" of the screen.
