GALAX GOC 2018 Grand Final
20 overclockers players competing for GOC 2018 Grand Final champion
The international GALAX GOC 2018 Grand Final will be officially held on December 8th and the overclockers around the globe have been waiting for this moment. This is the 10th anniversary of GOC (formerly the GALAXY GPU Party) and the celebration will be held in Vietnam this year. The one-month online qualifier that was held earlier, attracted numerous overclockers around the world to compete for the qualification of 12 finals. It completed successfully few days ago and the 12 final contestants will be competing in Vietnam with a number of previous champions, 20 contestants all together, for the GALAX GOC 2018 Grand Final champion.
The GALAX GOC 2018 online qualifier were held from October 15th to November 17th, attracting overclockers from Germany, France, Greece, the United States, Japan, South Africa, Poland and China during the one-month qualifiers. The contestants used GALAX GeForce RTX 2080Ti HOF OC Lab Edition and GALAX HOF DDR4-4600 Memory and Intel® platform to perform overclocking in five criterias, including SuperPI 32m, Memory Frequency, GPUPI-1B, 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme and 3DMark TimeSpy for the 12 qualifications in the finals.
OGS from Greece won the first place in the qualifier with a total score of 216. He scored 50 points each in GPUPI-1B, 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme and 3DMark TimeSpy. On top of that, he successfully broke the two world overclocking records of 3DMark TimeSpy and 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme. With GALAX GeForce RTX 2080Ti HOF OC Lab Edition, the current Graphic scores of the 3DMark TimeSpy has exceeded 20051 points, while the 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme Graphic score has been recorded at 9452 points.
The 12 contestants qualified for finals are (according to the scores in qualifier): OGS from Greek, Phil from Greek, Bullshooter from Germany, Wizerty from France, DrWeez from South Africa, iKKi from Japan, Futto-kun from Japan, bob (nz) from Australia, IvanCupa from Indonesia, dogna from Japan, noliso from Germany and Ziken from France. Together with previous champions, Stephen Yeong from Hong Kong, Hero from China, Littleboy from South Korea, Dancop from Germany, Lucky_noop from Indonesia, Alex@ro from Romania and Swedish player Rauf (2017 preliminary champion) and Chinese famous player ZeR0_Dan, the audiences are definitely going to be served with the best overclocking performances. They will be competing for cash prize up to $35,000 and prizes worth more than $100,000.
In the finals on December 8th, contestants will continue to use GALAX GeForce RTX 2080Ti HOF OC Lab Edition, GALAX HOF DDR4-4600 Memory, Intel ® CoreTM i9-9900k, Intel® Z390/370 platform and Super Flower Leadex Platinum 2000W Power supply etc for the contest.
